Dr. Ashim Paul is a Senior Scientist at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, India (2023–Present). He has extensive training in molecular neuroscience, cell biology, molecular biology, and biophysical chemistry, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS, as well as lysosomal storage disorders including Gaucher’s and Krabbe disease.
Dr. Paul earned his Junior and Senior Research Fellowships from UGC, India (2011 and 2013), qualified NET-JRF multiple times, and cleared GATE 2010 in Chemistry.He received a PhD degree from IIT Guwahati, india. He has several postdoctoral training, including from Israel, UK and South Korea. He received one of the Prestigious postdoctoral fellowships for doing research in the field of Parkinson's Disease, The Aufzien Family Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease (APPD), 2020–2021.
