Dr. Biswadeep Jena is an accomplished veterinary surgeon, academician, and researcher specializing in Veterinary Surgery, Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Wildlife Health, and Small Animal Orthopedics. He is currently serving as Assistant Professor (Stage II) in the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, where he has been contributing to veterinary education, clinical services, and research since February 2015. Since November 2024, he has also been serving as the Co-Coordinator of the Centre for Wildlife Health at OUAT, strengthening interdisciplinary initiatives in wildlife medicine and conservation.
Prior to joining OUAT, Dr. Jena served as Assistant Professor at Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary & Animal Science, Jaipur (RAJUVAS) from 2013 to 2015. He secured All India Rank–1 (General) in the prestigious ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) Examination (2020) and is a recipient of the ICAR Junior/Senior Research Fellowship, reflecting his outstanding academic excellence.
