Asst. Prof. Biplabendu Talukdar is an accomplished academician, clinician, researcher, and specialist in Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion Medicine, with extensive experience in clinical transfusion services, hematopoietic stem-cell applications, apheresis, regenerative medicine, and blood-bank management. His professional journey includes postgraduate training and academic teaching in the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion (IHBT), followed by significant responsibilities within the State Blood Transfusion Council and National Health Mission, West Bengal.

He has served as Assistant Director (Medical), State Blood Transfusion Council, State Program Officer of the State Blood Cell under NHM, Program Officer for the Hemoglobinopathy Control Programme, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion at Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata.
