Dr. Krishnakumar M is an accomplished teacher educator, academician, researcher, and educational administrator with approximately 29 years of professional experience spanning school education, teacher education, higher education, academic leadership, and research supervision. His academic expertise encompasses Biological Science, Chemistry, Teacher Education, Educational Technology, ICT in Education, and contemporary educational practices.
He began his professional career as a P.G.T. in Biological Science and Chemistry at Ujwala Residential School (CBSE), Siddipet, followed by service as an Assistant Professor at Kingston College of Education. He subsequently served as Professor and Principal and IGNOU Programme In-charge at Sri Vijay Vidyalaya College of Education, Dharmapuri. Since 2016, he has been associated with Amrita College of Education, Nagercoil, where he has served as Principal and Professor of Teaching and Perceptive in Education. From 2025, he has additionally taken responsibilities as Academic Head of Student Affairs & Welfare at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Nagercoil Campus.

His publications include studies on the impact of multimedia packages in science teaching, ICT awareness among B.Ed. trainees, interactive whiteboard animation in biology teaching, AI in higher education, metacognition and problem-solving, leadership styles among B.Ed. trainees, and the impact of Edmodo on student-teacher communication.
He has also published research concerning environmental and biological sciences, including studies on the physico-chemical characteristics and pollution status of Ramakkal Lake.
