Dr. Atanu Jana is an accomplished academician and researcher (ORCID No. 0000-0002- 5937-7166; Live DNA No. 91.1294) in the field of Dairy Technology. He has served SMC College of Dairy Science, Anand, Gujarat, India for four decades of which he has held the position of Professor and Head, Dairy Technology department (i.e. 1-08-2015 to 22-08- 2018); as Professor and Head, Department of Dairy Processing and Operations (DDPO) (i.e. 23-08-2018 till 30-04-2024); and as In-charge Principal of the College from 12-07-2022 till 30-04-2024 i.e. till his retirement. He held position of Director, Vidya Dairy, Anand, Gujarat – a commercial dairy plant providing Experiential Learning to dairy technology students of the College, during his tenure as Principal of the College. He is member of Editorial Board for a few reputed Organizations and Reviewer for more than 10 Research Journals of eminence. With extensive experience in Teaching, Research and Academic administration, he has contributed significantly to strengthening Dairy Education and Research frameworks.
