Dr. Ranjan Kumar Behera is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Ranchi, Jharkhand, since April 2023. He holds a strong academic foundation, having qualified UGC-NET multiple times (2012, 2014, 2015) and GATE in several consecutive years with outstanding percentiles reaching up to 98.9.

He has also gained international academic exposure as a Visiting Researcher at Yonsei University, South Korea (QS Ranking: 50), where he worked on developing a sustainable collaborative multimodal lifelong learning framework. His global engagement further includes delivering an invited talk on advanced topics such as graph convolutional embeddings integrated with reinforcement and continual learning.
