Research & Dissertation
Dr. Chagalamari's dissertation focused on “Anti-tumor Efficacy of Anacyclus pyrethrum in the Modulation of Nrf2 Activity using EAC Solid Tumor In Vivo Model,” conducted under the guidance of Dr. M. K. Jayanthi, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, JSS Medical College, Mysuru. Her work demonstrates an interest in molecular mechanisms of cancer and the exploration of pharmacological interventions through experimental models.
Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance
She has contributed to clinical research as a Study Coordinator for a Phase 2/3 observer-blind, randomized, controlled study evaluating the safety and immunogenicity of COVOVAX, sponsored by Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. in an ICMR project. Her additional expertise includes clinical trial coordination, ICH-GCP, pharmacovigilance, materiovigilance, ADR reporting, and clinical research methodology.
Research Contributions & Publications
Dr. Chagalamari has contributed to research publications covering anticancer pharmacology, gut microbiota and depression, antimicrobial utilization and resistance, computational drug discovery, polypharmacology, asthma therapeutics, pharmacovigilance, myasthenia gravis, adverse drug events, and apoptosis in cancer. Her publications include articles in journals such as Indian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Current Medicinal Chemistry, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, Perspectives in Clinical Research, and Bioinformation.
Her research demonstrates a multidisciplinary approach combining clinical evidence, systematic and umbrella reviews, pharmacological investigation, computational modelling, and real-world pharmacovigilance data.
