Dr. Mohammad Shabir Hussain is an accomplished biomedical researcher specializing in cancer biology, proteomics, hepatology, molecular medicine, and biomarker discovery. He is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Medicine and Oncology, Integrated Services Unit (MDOISU), the South Texas Center of Excellence in Cancer Research (ST-CECR), The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. His research primarily focuses on long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), stress-associated cancer pathways, and translational proteomics..

Previously, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Research Associate at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Principal Investigator under the prestigious National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) funded by SERB-DST, Government of India, at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences. He also contributed significantly to radiation biology and molecular medicine research at CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology.
