Prof. K. M. Eshwarappa is a distinguished physicist currently serving as Professor, Department of Studies in Physics, Davangere University, since June 1, 2022. He has over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, contributing significantly to the fields of nuclear physics, radiation physics, and nanomaterials.

He has previously worked with Government Science College, Hassan, where he played a pivotal role in curriculum design, research supervision, and science outreach programs. Prof. Eshwarappa has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing physics education and research across multiple domains, including neutron source design, particle detection, and material characterization.

Research Achievements

Prof. Eshwarappa has published 44 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, with 4 papers in national journals and 10 papers in international conferences.
A notable scientific accomplishment under his leadership is the design, fabrication, and characterization of the Microtron-based Photoneutron Source and Neutron Radiography Assembly, established at the Microtron Centre, Mangalore University, in collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai. This pioneering setup, the first of its kind in India, was formally commissioned by Dr. M. R. Srinivasan, former Atomic Energy Commissioner.
