Dr. Asha Sahu is an accomplished Indian soil scientist and agricultural researcher currently serving as Senior Scientist (PB-4) at ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science. Since joining the institute in 2010, she has consistently contributed to research, teaching, training, and extension activities in the fields of soil science, environmental microbiology, bio-waste management, and sustainable agriculture.

She earned prestigious academic distinctions during her higher education, including the Junior Research Fellowship from Indian Council of Agricultural Research, UGC/BHU Fellowship for Ph.D., along with the BHU Gold Medal and Binani Gold Medal from Banaras Hindu University in 2007.
