Dr. Vinod Kumar Nathan is an accomplished scientist and biotechnology researcher with extensive contributions in the fields of microbial biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, marine biology, enzyme technology, nanobiotechnology, food technology, and sustainable bioprocessing. He completed his M.Sc. Integrated Biotechnology from Periyar University, Salem, securing 5th Rank, and pursued advanced research focused on microbial resources and their industrial applications.
Dr. Nathan currently serves as a Scientist at CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, Karnataka, where he contributes to cutting-edge research in food technology, microbial applications, and sustainable innovations. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Professor at SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur, contributing significantly to teaching, mentoring, and research development. He has also worked as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (SERB) at CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography, Cochin, where his research focused on marine microbial diversity, carbon sequestration, and environmental applications.
