Dr. Jitendra Kumar is a seasoned professional in the domains of Life Sciences and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), with over 12 years of diverse experience spanning research, innovation management, and policy engagement. He is currently serving as a Consultant (Project Manager) at the Indian Ocean Rim Association – Regional Centre of Science and Technology Transfer (IORARCSTT), Coordination Centre on Medicinal Plants, CSIR–CIMAP, Lucknow, India, since August 14, 2019. In this role, he actively contributes to technology transfer initiatives, IP management, and the promotion of innovation ecosystems, particularly in the field of medicinal plants.

His work focuses on bridging the gap between scientific research and its practical application through effective IP strategies and knowledge transfer mechanisms. Notably, he completed a three-week National Level Faculty Development Program on Intellectual Property Rights organized by Law Teachers India and the DPIIT Chair on IPR at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (June 2024). He also successfully completed the globally recognized “PatentX” course offered jointly by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Harvard Law School.
