Dr. Rasdeep Kour is a botanist and researcher specializing in phytochemistry, molecular biology, cancer biology, and pharmacological evaluation of plant-derived bioactive compounds. She completed her Ph.D. in Botany from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on evaluating the antioxidant, genoprotective, and anticancer potential of Cassia fistula L. bark phytoconstituents using in vitro and in vivo experimental models.

Her research involved extraction and isolation of phytoconstituents through bioactivity-guided fractionation, structural characterization, evaluation of antioxidant and DNA-protective activities, investigation of selective cytotoxicity, and elucidation of apoptosis-related molecular pathways. She also contributed to the development of a liposomal formulation aimed at improving phytochemical bioavailability and enhancing tumor-suppressive activity in vivo.
