Dr. Angsuman Chanda is a distinguished Indian zoologist, educator, and researcher specializing in taxonomy, crustacean biology, fisheries science, aquatic biodiversity, and conservation ecology. He earned both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees as Gold Medallist and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Zoology.
