Dr. Kamal Sarma is a distinguished Veterinary Anatomist and senior academician with an exceptional career in veterinary education, research, academic administration, and professional leadership. He is currently serving as Professor and Head, Division of Veterinary Anatomy, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J). Over the course of his career, he has held several key administrative positions, including Head of the Division of Veterinary Anatomy and Head of the Division of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education. He has also served as a Member of the University Examination Cell and Liaison Officer for the University Counselling & Placement Cell, demonstrating his commitment to academic governance and institutional development.
Dr. Sarma qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 1999 and was awarded the prestigious ICAR Junior Research Fellowship for his M.V.Sc. studies in 1996. He has played a pivotal role in strengthening postgraduate education by initiating the Ph.D. programme in Veterinary Anatomy at SKUAST-J.
