Dr. Dhivya Gopi is a dedicated academician and medical microbiology professional with extensive teaching experience in both theory and practical training for MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and Para-medical undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, where she actively contributes to medical education and academic development. She also possesses hands-on experience in the preparation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reflecting her commitment to quality assurance and laboratory standards.
Research Experience & Expertise
Dr. Dhivya Gopi has a strong research background in clinical microbiology, bacteriology, infectious diseases, and reproductive health. Her M.Sc. research focused on the bacterial and fungal profile of sputum samples in a tertiary care hospital, providing insights into respiratory infections. Her PhD research was centered on Detection of Heat Shock Protein 60 and Heat Shock Protein 10 in Chlamydial infection as markers for Tubal Factor Infertility, highlighting her contribution to infertility diagnostics and translational research. Additionally, she conducted a cross-sectional study on the detection of Mycoplasma genitalium among infertile women, reinforcing her expertise in sexually transmitted infections and women’s reproductive health.
She is reviewing a manuscript as a Reviewer in Nature Springer Journals and Journal of Global Infectious Disease. Also she was awarded the best oral presentation in Tamil Nadu Infectious Disease Conclave 2025
