Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Yadav has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the University Teaching Department, Department of Farm Forestry, Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya Sarguja (formerly Sarguja University), Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, since 11 July 2014, with more than 11 years of continuous academic and research experience. His appointment was formalized under Letter No. SUA/Estt/TA/1499/2014 dated 08/07/2014.
He received his undergraduate merit scholarship from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, during his B.Sc. Forestry program (2000–2004), reflecting early academic excellence.

Dr. Yadav’s career is distinguished by several prestigious recognitions, including:

• Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Award (2008) conferred by the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology during the 6th Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress held at Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur.

• ITSR Foundation Award – Best Researcher (2023), presented at the Institute of Engineers (India) Rajasthan State Centre, Jaipur.

• Scientist Award (2024) at the 10th International Conference on Environment and Ecology (ICEE 2024), organized jointly by the International Foundation for Environment and Ecology and Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, in association with Confederation of Indian Universities and International Academy of Science and Research.

Dr. Yadav participated in an international learning visit to Costa Rica (Central America) in August 2013 under a Global Environment Facility – Government of India – UNDP project on mainstreaming conservation and sustainable use of medicinal plant diversity, demonstrating his global exposure in environmental and biodiversity initiatives. He is also a member of 10 academic and research organizations, reflecting strong professional engagement.
