Prof. Sarita G. Bhat is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Biochemistry, currently serving as a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry. She completed her M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the prestigious (Royal) Institute of Science, Mumbai, under the University of Mumbai, where she received the Daxina Award for academic excellence for the years 1977–78 and 1988–89. She further qualified the UGC-NET for Lectureship (1992) and was awarded both the UGC-JRF and SRF fellowships the same year, marking her strong research potential early in her career.
