Dr. Ashok Kumar Konduru is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women, Hyderabad, serving since 21 August 2023. He is currently functioning as In-charge Head of the Department (CSE–AI & ML). With over a decade of academic leadership experience, he has previously served as Head of the Department (ECE) for ten continuous years at Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Hyderabad, and has held key academic and administrative roles at several reputed engineering institutions.

Research Interests

Dr. Konduru’s research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Speech Signal Processing, Emotion and Mental Health Analysis, Internet of Things (IoT), VLSI Testing, Graph Neural Networks, and Data Analytics. His work integrates applied AI techniques with real-world engineering and societal challenges.

Patents & Innovations

He holds three patents, including granted and filed works in:

• IoT-based detection of alive humans in disaster and war zones

• Real-time urban air quality monitoring using multi-sensor hubs (Granted, 2024)

• Machine learning–based customer experience prediction systems for online retail

These innovations demonstrate his strong contribution to translational and applied research.

Publications & Scholarly Contributions

Dr. Konduru has published SCI-indexed papers in high-impact journals such as Soft Computing, Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, Journal of Voice, and Journal of Electronic Testing, with additional 9 publications in ESCI/Scopus/UGC-listed journals. His research particularly advances speech-based emotion and depression recognition, AI-driven circuit debugging, and intelligent systems.
