Asst.Prof.Niyaz Ahmad is an accomplished academician, pharmaceutical scientist, and researcher specializing in pharmaceutics, nanoformulations, drug delivery systems, pharmacokinetics, and bioanalytical method development. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the College of Dentistry & Pharmacy, Buraydah Colleges, Saudi Arabia, since 2024.

With more than 18 years of academic, industrial, and research experience, he has previously worked as Assistant Professor at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and Lecturer at Jamia Hamdard. His professional journey also includes industrial and clinical research positions at reputed organizations such as Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, Fortis Clinical Research Laboratories, and Abridge Clinical Research Pvt. Ltd., India.

He has actively contributed to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students in areas including Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics, Sterile Preparations, Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Medication Safety, Health Informatics, and Research Methodology.

Research Contributions & Scientific Excellence

Dr. Niyaz Ahmad is internationally recognized for his pioneering research in nano-drug delivery systems, especially nanoemulsions, nanoparticles, nanogels, and intranasal brain-targeting formulations for diseases such as cerebral ischemia, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, wound healing, and inflammatory disorders.

His research expertise also extends to UHPLC-MS/MS bioanalytical techniques, pharmacokinetic evaluations, and targeted drug delivery systems. He has successfully led and collaborated on multiple funded international research projects supported by universities and scientific councils in Saudi Arabia.

He has authored and co-authored a remarkable number of high-impact scientific publications in internationally reputed journals including:
