Dr. Bapurayagouda Patil is an accomplished agricultural scientist and seed technology researcher with extensive academic, research, extension, and technology-transfer experience in horticultural crops. He has served at the University of Horticultural Sciences (UHS), Bagalkot, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor at the Seed Unit, where he continues to contribute to teaching, research, seed production, quality assurance, and farmer-oriented extension activities.

His professional career includes service as Assistant Professor at the College of Horticulture, Bagalkot, the MHREC, Bagalkot, and the Seed Unit of UHS, Bagalkot. He was promoted to Associate Professor on 5 December 2025.
