Dr. Smita Madagundi is an accomplished academician, researcher, and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry with over 20 years of teaching experience after UG and 18 years after PG. She has established herself as a dedicated educator and researcher in the fields of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Herbal Drug Discovery, Endophytic Research, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.
She possesses 11 years of research experience and is a recognized PG and PhD guide in Pharmacognosy under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. She has successfully guided 13 postgraduate scholars, including one Gold Medalist, and co-guided 25 research scholars. Her academic expertise is strengthened by active involvement in curriculum development, examination duties, paper valuation, and academic administration.
