Mr. Akshit Vats is a dedicated biomedical researcher currently pursuing his Ph.D. at PGIMER, Chandigarh (July 2023–Present). His doctoral research focuses on biomarker discovery in biliary atresia, with special emphasis on fibrosis and apoptosis signature genes in blood and biliary tissues. Using molecular biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, and integrative machine learning approaches, his work aims to identify diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for disease progression.

He is a University Rank Holder in both B.Sc. Biotechnology (2016–2019) and M.Sc. Biotechnology (2019–2021) and has consistently demonstrated academic excellence. Prior to his Ph.D., he was supported by prestigious fellowships including DBT Sponsored Fellowship (2019–21).
