Dr. Manas Ranjan Senapati is an eminent academician and researcher with over three decades of distinguished service in higher education and scientific research. He obtained his Ph.D. from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 1993, becoming the youngest Ph.D. awardee at the age of 24. He later pursued post-doctoral research as a CSIR Research Associate.

He has served in various reputed engineering and technological institutions under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, and held several key academic positions including:

  • Dean, Computer Applications and Science, BPUT, Odisha

  • Principal, Jagannath Institute of Engineering & Technology, Cuttack

  • Dean (Training & Placement, R&D), BPUT, Odisha

  • Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar

Dr. Senapati is known for his excellence in teaching subjects such as Chemistry, Materials Science, and Environmental Engineering to engineering students.

He has authored over 50 research papers in reputed national and international journals, and contributed popular science and environmental articles in publications such as Employment News, Kurukshetra, Yojana, Outlook, Down to Earth, and Odisha Review.

His books, including Environmental Studies (Cengage, USA) and Advanced Engineering Chemistry (Laxmi Publications, New Delhi; Jones & Bartlett, USA), are widely recognized. The latter is listed in the libraries of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and other leading global universities.
