Dr. Vinay Kumar is an Agricultural Engineer and researcher specializing in precision agriculture, smart farming, agricultural robotics, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), drone technology, IoT-enabled sensor systems, GIS, artificial intelligence, and agricultural mechanization. He is currently serving as Test Engineer at the Farm Machinery Testing Center, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu).

Previously, he worked as Young Professional-II in the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, SKUAST-Jammu, under the Sensor-Based Smart Agriculture Project of the Holistic Agricultural Development Program (HADP).
