Dr. Vardhana Janakiraman is an accomplished academician and researcher currently serving as Assistant Professor at VELS Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) since July 2022. She holds qualification approval from the University of Madras to work as an Assistant Professor in Biotechnology, as per UGC/AICTE guidelines. Her academic career reflects a strong integration of teaching, research, and innovation in the life sciences.

Her interdisciplinary research expertise spans Biotechnology, Mycology, Nanotechnology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Tissue Engineering, Environmental Nanotechnology, Bioinformatics, and AI applications in life sciences. She has actively enhanced her research capabilities through prestigious SWAYAM–NPTEL courses and AICTE–ATAL Faculty Development Programs focused on emerging AI technologies for teaching and research.
