Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Katare is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator in the field of Computer Science with more than 29 years of extensive teaching, research, and administrative experience. He is presently serving as Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Awadhesh Pratap Singh University. He joined the university as a Lecturer on 24 August 1993 and was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor and later Professor in 2009.

Born on 25 August 1962, Prof. Katare has dedicated his academic career to the advancement of Computer Science education, particularly in the areas of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Interconnection Networks, Graph Theory, Algorithms, and Data Structures. His professional journey reflects consistent academic excellence, leadership, and scholarly contribution.

Throughout his career, he has held several significant administrative positions including Head of the Department of Computer Science, Chairman of the Board of Studies, Member of Academic Council, and Dean at the Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior. Prof. Katare has made remarkable contributions to research in Parallel and Distributed Systems, Interconnection Networks, Perfect Difference Networks (PDN), Hypercube Architectures, Load Balancing Algorithms, and Computational Structures.
