Dr. Arul Valan P is an accomplished nursing academician, researcher, administrator, and clinical trainer with more than 16 years of combined clinical and teaching experience in the field of Medical Surgical Nursing. He began his professional career as a Staff Nurse in the Intensive Medical Care Unit (IMCU) at Sri Balaji Hospitals, Chennai, where he gained extensive clinical expertise in critical care, neurological disorders, orthopedic surgical care, ventilator management, and emergency nursing.

He later transitioned into academics and served as Lecturer at Anbu College of Nursing, Assistant Professor at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing, and Vice Principal at a College of Nursing in Cuttack, Odisha. Since July 2017, he has been serving as Head of the Department (HOD) and Professor at Dr. Kumaraswami Health Centre Hospital & College of Nursing, where he coordinates departmental activities, guides undergraduate research, and contributes actively to institutional affiliations and inspections under INC, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, and the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council.
