Mr. Yogesh Patil is an emerging fungal taxonomist and biodiversity researcher specializing in wood-rotting fungi, Polypores, and Aphyllophorales of the Western Ghats and Maharashtra. His research primarily focuses on fungal diversity, mycopigments, bioactive compounds, and bioprospecting of rare and medicinally important species.
He has actively contributed to the scientific community through extensive fieldwork, morphological and molecular identification, and innovative applied research such as fungal-based natural colorant production.
