Prof. Chitra Pande is a distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Kumaun University with over three decades of exemplary service in higher education. A Gold Medalist in B.Sc. and First Rank holder in M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry), she completed her Ph.D. in Natural Product Chemistry in 1991. She began her academic career in 1993 and was elevated to the position of Professor in 2009. Her career reflects sustained excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Prof. Pande has made significant contributions to the field of chemistry, particularly in phytochemistry, chemosystematics, essential oil chemistry, soil and water analysis, and phytoremediation.
