Dr. Mohammad Shameem Al Mamun is a distinguished Bangladeshi entomologist currently serving as the Principal Scientific Officer (Entomology) at the Bangladesh Tea Research Institute (BTRI) under the Bangladesh Tea Board since 16 August 2022. With over two decades of professional experience in tea science and pest management, Dr. Mamun has significantly contributed to the sustainability and productivity of the tea industry in Bangladesh.
He holds an MS in Entomology from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh (2005) and a PhD from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet (2017).
He holds advanced academic qualifications and has received multiple international scholarships, including:
