Mr. Rahul Singh Bhaskar is a research-oriented pharmacy academician and PhD Scholar at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur, a Central University. His doctoral research focuses on the development of solid lipid nanoparticles for antiviral drug delivery, particularly curcumin-loaded nanoparticles for the management of Zika virus infection. He completed his M.Pharmacy with a 3rd University Rank and qualified the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2023 with an NTA score of 78.77 percentile.

Alongside his academic pursuits, Mr. Bhaskar possesses more than six years of pharmaceutical marketing industry experience, having worked with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Mankind Pharma, and FDC Limited. This industry exposure has provided him with practical insight into pharmaceutical products, healthcare practices, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Bhaskar has demonstrated an emerging research profile in pharmaceutics, nanotechnology, drug delivery, antiviral therapeutics, and diabetic wound management. His recent research includes the development and preclinical evaluation of curcumin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticles for enhanced antiviral delivery against Zika virus infection. He has published three peer-reviewed research papers, including work in journals associated with Taylor & Francis and other indexed publications.

His research interests also encompass niosomal drug delivery systems and innovative approaches for the prevention and management of diabetic foot ulcers. His publication record reflects his growing contribution to pharmaceutical formulation and targeted drug-delivery research.

His notable presentations include research on solid lipid nanoparticles of curcumin for Zika virus infection at the 72nd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC), Nagpur, as well as presentations concerning Zika virus disease and diabetic foot ulcer management. He has also participated in an international research conference in the Philippines, where he received recognition as a poster presenter.

While pursuing his PhD, Mr. Bhaskar has been involved in teaching and practical academic activities at the Department of Pharmacy, GGV Bilaspur, including Pharmaceutics theory and Industrial Pharmacy practical sessions. His six-plus years of professional marketing experience with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Mankind Pharma, and FDC Limited have complemented his research and academic knowledge. He has also undertaken industrial visits to pharmaceutical organizations including Vama Pharmaceutics, Arco Laboratories, Glenmark, and Cadila Pharmaceuticals.
